LA Skins Festival - September 22
The LA SKINS FEST annually showcases works by independent Native American filmmakers that provide insight into the beauty, complexity and diversity of Native American people. The festival offers filmmakers an opportunity to show their work so audiences of all ages and interests can enrich their experience and understanding of Native American cultures.
Film Independent Directing Lab - Non-member deadline, August 28, member deadline, September 12.
Under the guidance of established industry professionals who serve as Creative Advisors, Directing Lab Fellows receive script feedback, discuss their visions, and select short scenes from their screenplays to workshop.
Film Independent Documentary Lab - Non-member deadline, October 2 member deadline, October 16.
Through a series of meetings and workshops, the Documentary Lab provides creative feedback and story notes to participating filmmakers, while helping them to strategize for the completion, distribution, and marketing of their films.
Roddenberry Fellowship - August 22
The inaugural Roddenberry Fellowship is a call to action. It’s a vision for the US, and in an era of conflict, it’s a way forward. They are looking for 20 activists, leaders, advocates, change makers whose work has the greatest potential to protect the most vulnerable and make the US a more equitable and inclusive place to live.
