CAAMFest 2013: Memoirs of a Superfan Vol. 8.2: Let’s Play Music
The great Ravi Chandra, M.D. wrote a blog post about upcoming films at this year's CAAMFest (formerly San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival), including PIC & 'Oiwi TV's film Let's Play Music! Slack Key with Cyril Pahinui & Friends. The film is part of PIC-sponsored Pacific Showcase at CAAMFest 2013.
Chandra writes: "The pulse of aloha keeps beating, sending gentle waves our way. Let's Play Music is part of the Pacific Islanders in Communications showcase at the festival, and it's a lovely, warm introduction to the culture of music in Hawai'i and a nice model for what life's really about - relationship, cultivation of skills and soul, and above all, aloha."
