Other Funding Sources:
Hawaiʻi Council for the Humanities (HCH)
The HCH’s Grants Program provides funding for public programs that promote a better understanding and appreciation of the humanities among the general public in Hawai‘i. Each year the HCH awards more than $150,000 in grant funds to individuals as well as nonprofit organizations and public institutions throughout the state to support activities that apply the humanities—such as history, philosophy, ethics, religious studies, literary studies, art history, and anthropology—to our everyday lives.
Individuals may apply for Emerging Talent, Research Assistance, and Publication Assistance grants. All other grants require a non-profit sponsor, the involvement of principal humanities scholar(s), and a project director/coordinator.
There are three grant deadlines each year: February 15; June 15; September 15.
PIC strives to keep information about other funding sources as updated as possible.
